Expressing your opinion:

  • I think…
  • I feel that…
  • It seems to me that
  • As far as I’m concerned, …

Asking for opinion:

  • What do you think about ………? 
  • How do you feel about…?

Checking if your partner agrees with you (saying it’s their turn to speak now):

  • …………………………., don’t you think? 
  • ………………………………….   Would you agree with me on that? 

Suggesting:

  • Why don’t we…? /Why don’t you…? 
  • Don’t you think that …? 

Agreeing:

  • I agree with you on that. 
  • I feel the same. 
  • That’s right. 
  • You’re right. 
  • Exactly. 

Disagreeing:

  • I am sorry, I disagree with you on that. 
  • I disagree with that (idea/decision/…)

Showing that you follow the conversation/understand:

  • Yes, I know. / Yes, I know what you mean.
  • I see. / I see what you mean.

Interrupting politely:

  • Sorry to interrupt, but…
